A slight change in look

For 2022, the Ford Transit doesn't really change. It has indeed undergone a few modifications over the past few months, but nothing major. In fact, the grille has been updated, and the halogen headlights have also been slightly modified. Short or long arm mirrors are available, and the rear doors can be fitted with glass for more light and rearward visibility. Fog lights and a high-density headlight upgrade are also available as options, as is a chrome exterior trim package.

You can, however, personalize your Ford Transit with the colour of your choice. And the list is impressive: Race Red and Oxford White are the base colours, but you can also opt for Ingot Silver, Agate Black, Avalanche Gray, Abyssal Gray, Denim Blue and Charcoal Gray. 16-inch steel wheels are standard, but wheel covers or alloy wheels are optional.

Uncompromising handling

The Ford Transit, in addition to its versatility, has another great quality: its handling. It would be pretentious to say that the vehicle handles like a car, but it's certainly among the best-handling in its class.

The suspensions do their job well, with or without a load, limiting vibrations in the body and making the ride comfortable for all occupants. Braking is effective, and the optional all-wheel-drive makes it possible to handle the toughest conditions, from mud to snow, without worrying.

For even more safety, the Ford Transit is equipped with an array of features that are normally limited to sedans and SUVs. Optional features include trailer braking, rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera.

Infotainment and Technology

The big news on the Ford Transit is that it is now available with SYNC 4, the latest iteration of Ford's infotainment system. In addition to offering a larger control screen, the system adds unparalleled connectivity and easy-to-use voice commands.

The Ford Transit comes out on top when it comes to comfort. It has a long list of accessories, including air conditioning, automatic rain-sensing wipers, hill-start assist, two auxiliary 12-volt power outlets and a rear-view camera with hitch assist are all standard. You also get rear tie- down hooks to keep your cargo from flying away and a keyless entry system.
