2022 Ford Bronco Sport
The 2022 Ford Bronco Sport is often presented as the little brother of the big Bronco. This may be true in terms of size alone, but it doesn't affect its adventurous capabilities. Because if the Bronco Sport is a little smaller, it is not afraid of anything.
Depending on the version, it has even been equipped with tools to overcome imposing obstacles and cross the most demanding trails. This does not prevent it from being the perfect city companion, offering comfort and driving pleasure for a more affordable price.
Physically, the 2022 Bronco Sport is muscular and athletic. With its distinctive grille, flat sides, round headlights, and contrasting roof that gives the impression of being elevated, the silhouette perfectly reflects the vehicle's capabilities. You can feel it capable of going above and beyond, but you also know it's capable of weaving in and out of traffic.
Power on tap
Under the hood of this little Bronco Sport is a single-engine, except for the Badlands version. While the base versions have a 181-horsepower, 3-cylinder, 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, the Badlands variant takes things a step further.
Designed more for off-roading, the 2022 Bronco Sport Badlands features a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, with 250-horsepower and an exceptional 277 pound-feet of torque, providing incredible velocity for a vehicle of its personality.
Add to that the 8-speed automatic transmission on all versions and the presence of standard all-wheel drive, and you'll understand that the 2022 Bronco Sport is ready for any challenge.
True Adventurer
When you think off-road, you think Bronco Sport. The vehicle's independent suspension has been tested to handle all conditions. But it's the G.O.A.T. (for Go Over Any Terrain) that sets the Bronco Sport apart from its rivals.
With a simple turn of a knob at your fingertips, you can choose the driving mode that matches the conditions. These modes include Mud/Gravel, Sport and Slippery. On the Badlands model, Rock Crawl and Trail Control modes are added. The Bronco Sport also features a 19,8 cm high ground clearance, and the Badlands has an 22,3 cm high ground clearance to help it overcome the most challenging obstacles.
Versatile interior
You don't create a vehicle like this without providing a few things to allow it to be a true off-roader. Depending on the trim level chosen (there are four), the interior offers different materials. For example, Ford put easy-to-clean seats and flooring in the Big Bend but relied on leather seats for the Outer Banks.
Depending on the trim or options package you choose, you can get power seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and many other features.
Add an 8-inch screen housing the SYNC3 multimedia system in the center of the console, and you'll understand how comfortable the cabin is. Also of note is the multitude of small accessories and hooks scattered around the cabin to make it all convenient.
FordPass Connect and other connectivity options are also standard on the Bronco Sport. So is the Co-Pilot 360 safety package, which brings together a wide array of driving aids.
For the truly adventurous, the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport even offers an optional rear camping table and a trail navigation system.
Muscular and athletic, the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport is nonetheless a model of technology and comfort. It's the versatile S.U.V. that will get you where you want to go while remaining affordable. Take it for a test drive!
